Suncorp is seeking a Fleet Underwriter in Adelaide CBD with hybrid WFH options. The role focuses on ongoing underwriting operations, risk discipline, and contributing to the Commercial Portfolio Strategy within the State Underwriting team.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years of Insurance Industry experience.
• Ability to influence the commercial Broker and Adviser insurance market.
• Active involvement in appropriate industry groups.
• Understanding of relevant Insurance products, industry, market environment and reinsurance structures.
• Underwrites at an advanced level in accordance with Risk Appetite, Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA), Underwriting Guidelines and Business License.
• Use technical product knowledge to set terms and conditions and determine acceptability against risk appetite.

The Fleet Underwriter performs day to day operational underwriting functions within a State Underwriting team through the underwriting and negotiating of individual policy renewals, new business and mid term policy adjustments. The role contributes within the State to the execution within the State of the Commercial Portfolio Strategy through the application of product, pricing, customer retention and acquisition strategies to deliver the targeted Insurance Trading Result (ITR) for the Product(s) in accordance with the Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA). The Underwriter in collaboration with Distribution colleagues will grow and develop key intermediary relationships, deliver exceptional customer service and facilitate multiline opportunities. The role collaborates across teams, removes blockages to performance, escalates issues and proactively look for ways to simplify and improve the underwriting process.
