RAC WA is seeking Motor Assessors for the Perth Metro area to assess damaged motor vehicles, negotiate settlements, and support RAC's members and repairers with accurate reports and cost-effective outcomes.

You will use industry experience to determine damage costs, follow policy conditions, and maintain high service and cost targets while upholding RAC's customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in Panel Beating or Spray Painting.
• Hands-on experience as a Panel Beater or Spray Painter.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm in a professional environment.
• Must have a current and unrestricted drivers license.
• Quoting or estimating experience in smash repair is desirable.
• Commitment to putting members at the centre of everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Assess damaged motor vehicles and caravans and determine damage costs.
• Recommend cost-effective settlement methods according to policy and specifications.
• Provide efficient repair management within service and cost targets.
• Inspect vehicles to compile accurate damage/condition reports.
• Advise on assessment reports to validate settlement decisions.
• Adhere to Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
• Provide exceptional customer service to RAC's members and stakeholders.
• Handle disputes and complaints at first point of contact.

Job description

Due to internal promotions, RAC's Motor Assessing team have opportunities available for Motor Assessors to join us within the Perth Metro area.

This role will require you to use your industry experience to assess motor vehicles along with your customer service skills to negotiate between RAC, members and repairers; ensuring a fair and reasonable outcome for all.

What will you be doing?

• Assess damaged motor vehicles and caravans and determine damage costs
• Recommend cost effective methods of claim settlement in accordance with policy conditions, manufacturers repair specifications and quality expectations.
• Provide consistent and efficient repair management practices within measured service and cost targets
• Identify and inspect vehicles to compile accurate reports on the extent of accident damage and vehicle condition
• Advise and review assessment reports to validate assessment of quantum position and settlement decisions
• Adhere to Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct
• Provide exceptional customer service to RAC's members and stakeholders
• Overcome objections and handle disputes and complaints at first point of contact
