Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience operating earthmoving equipment, particularly loaders and excavators.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance.
• Construction White Card.
• Current driver's licence.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and production.
• Reliable, punctual and able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile soil screening equipment, including trommel screens.
• Operate loaders and excavators to feed screening equipment and manage stockpiles.
• Screen and process topsoil, compost and other bulk materials to specifications.
• Complete daily pre-start inspections, maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Monitor production rates, material quality and equipment performance.
• Coordinate material movement and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Work alongside site supervisors, clients and other contractors.
• Assist with equipment mobilisation, setup and demobilisation between projects.
• Maintain accurate daily production and equipment records.

We specialise in bulk material placement, soil processing, landscaping and environmental solutions, working across major civil infrastructure, commercial construction and landscaping projects.

We're looking for someone who is mechanically minded, takes pride in their equipment and is confident working independently on projects throughout South East Queensland and occasionally regional Queensland.

You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining our mobile soil screening equipment, processing bulk materials and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience operating earthmoving equipment, particularly loaders and excavators.

• Mechanical aptitude and confidence performing basic maintenance.

• Construction White Card.

• Current driver's licence.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and production.

• Reliable, punctual and able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Highly Regarded:

• Previous experience operating mobile screening plants, trommels or crushers.

• Experience processing topsoil, compost or recycled materials.

• Relevant plant operating tickets or VOCs.

• Experience on civil infrastructure or major construction projects.

• HR or HC truck licence.
