Job summary

Randstad Pty in Logan City, Queensland is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our site operations. You will operate heavy earthmoving plant to feed crushers, screens and pugmills across quarry and civil projects.

The role requires operating 50-tonne excavators and 40-tonne loaders, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability on multiple sites. Contract is initially 1 month with potential extension; penalties and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy mobile plant or heavy civil equipment.
• Commitment to health, safety and high operational standards.
• Willingness to deploy to different sites on short notice.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 50-tonne excavators and 40-tonne wheel loaders to feed processing plant, manage stockpiles and move materials.
• Maintain optimal feed rates into mobile crushers, screens and blending equipment.
• Complete pre-start checks, assist with routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor faults to minimise downtime.
• Adhere to site WHS procedures and environmental controls.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Machinery Operator to join a leading Australian mobile crushing, screening, and materials processing provider. You will be operating heavy earthmoving plant to feed high-capacity crushers, screens, pugmills, and blenders across quarry, mining, and civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate 50-tonne excavators and 40-tonne wheel loaders to feed processing plant, manage stockpiles, and handle raw materials.

• Maintain optimal feed rates into mobile crushers, screening units, and blending equipment.

• Complete pre-start checklists, assist with routine machine maintenance, and perform basic fault troubleshooting to minimise downtime.

• Adhere strictly to site WHS procedures, environmental regulations (e.g., dust and noise controls), and site-specific safety plans.

Key Requirements

• Prior experience operating heavy mobile plant or heavy civil equipment (50T excavators and 40T loaders).

• Familiarity working alongside mobile crushing, screening, or Pugmill processing plant is highly regarded.

• Strong commitment to health, safety, and operational standards.

• Self-motivated with a high work ethic and flexibility for site deployment.
