Job summary

DQM Services Pty Ltd is seeking an operator skilled in mobile crushing and screening to run and monitor equipment onsite in Australia. You will also assist with basic plant maintenance and ensure daily inspections are completed, while maintaining safety and productivity.

Ideal candidates have proven experience with mobile crushing equipment, excavator and loader operations, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating mobile crushing and screening equipment.
• Competency operating a 35-tonne excavator and a front-end loader.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile horizontal shaft impact crusher and screening plant.
• Operate a 35-tonne excavator to feed the crushing plant.
• Operate a front-end loader to manage stockpiles and load material.
• Complete daily plant inspections and pre-start checks.
• Monitor material flow and plant performance.
• Perform basic maintenance on crushing equipment including cleaning and greasing.
• Assist with changing wear parts and clearing blockages.
• Identify and report faults or wear or mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow site procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.

Job description

This is a hands-on role suited to someone experienced in operating mobile crushing and screening equipment who is also willing to assist with basic plant maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a mobile horizontal shaft impact crusher and screening plant
• Operate a 35-tonne excavator to feed the crushing plant
• Operate a front-end loader to manage stockpiles and load material
• Complete daily plant inspections and pre-start checks
• Monitor material flow and plant performance
• Perform basic maintenance on the horizontal shaft impact crusher and screen, including cleaning, greasing, inspections and minor adjustments
• Assist with changing wear parts and clearing blockages when required
• Identify and report faults, excessive wear or potential mechanical issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow site procedures, SWMS requirements and isolation/lockout procedures

• Proven experience operating mobile crushing and screening equipment
• Competency operating a 35-tonne excavator
• Competency operating a front-end loader
• A good understanding of crushing plant operation and material flow
• Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to undertake routine maintenance
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
