CVGT Employment, in partnership with Hire Depot, is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice for a Mobile Plant Operations Apprenticeship in Melbourne. Learn equipment servicing, maintenance and repairs while working alongside experienced professionals.

The successful applicant will gain practical industry skills and knowledge, training towards a Certificate III in Plant Operations, and a full-time schedule Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:06pm, with on-the-job earning potential.

Qualifications

• Interest in mechanical or construction equipment industry.

• A good level of physical fitness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current driver's licence (preferred but not essential).
• Own vehicle (preferred but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation, servicing and repair of equipment to ensure it is ready for hire.
• Conducting pre-hire inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assisting with equipment repairs under the guidance of qualified mechanics.
• Performing minor maintenance tasks on company vehicles, including checking tyre pressures and fluid levels.
• Applying branding and fleet identification to new machinery as required.
• Assisting with the preparation of machines for sale.
• Supporting workshop operations to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
• Identifying and communicating maintenance and facility requirements.
• Working collaboratively within a team and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
• Occasionally travelling to customer sites with experienced staff to assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
