Job summary

Hubtex Australia is inviting applications for an Apprentice Mobile Plant Technician at our Riverstone branch. You will learn on‑the‑job while working toward a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, servicing and repairing forklifts and materials handling equipment.

You’ll train with experienced technicians, gain exposure to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic systems, and develop hands‑on skills in a supportive national company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs of forklifts and materials handling equipment

• Assist with pre-delivery inspections and preparation of equipment

Based at our Riverstone branch, you will earn while you learn, working towards your Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology while gaining hands‑on experience servicing and repairing specialised forklifts and materials handling equipment.

The Role

As an Apprentice Mobile Plant Technician, you will work alongside our experienced technicians and gradually develop the skills required to become a qualified tradesperson.

Your role will include:

• Assisting with servicing, maintenance and repairs of forklifts and materials handling equipment

• Working on electric, LPG and diesel‑powered equipment

• Assisting with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs

• Learning to diagnose faults using specialised diagnostic equipment

• Assisting with pre‑delivery inspections and preparation of new and used equipment

• Learning to read technical manuals, hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams

• Using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment

• Following safe work procedures and maintaining a clean and organised work area

You will gain practical experience across a broad range of equipment while being supported throughout your apprenticeship.

Previous mechanical experience is not essential. We are more interested in your attitude, reliability, mechanical interest and willingness to learn.

Experience working on cars, motorbikes, machinery or mechanical projects at home, school or work would be an advantage.
