Job summary

AGA in Laverton North, VIC is offering a dedicated Mobile Plant Technology Apprenticeship (2nd to 4th year) with an immediate start. You will gain hands-on experience maintaining, servicing, diagnosing, and repairing mobile plant and heavy equipment under expert guidance.

The 4-year program gives you a nationally recognised Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and the chance to earn while you learn within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship or permanent residence is required.
• Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training.
• Interest in heavy machinery, earthmoving equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Holds a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Learn from experienced technicians while servicing, repairing, and maintaining mobile plant equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Gain hands-on experience repairing and replacing components on mobile plant machinery.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training and stay up to date with industry developments and technology.

As our next Mobile Plant Technology Apprentice, you'll gain hands‑on experience maintaining, servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of mobile plant and heavy equipment under the guidance of experienced industry professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills, earn while you learn, and complete a nationally recognised trade qualification. You'll work as part of a supportive team while building the knowledge and experience needed for a successful career in the mobile plant industry.

The role is Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.
