Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced truck operators for Rio Tinto Dampier Salt Operations in Dampier, WA. This residential role offers a 12.5-hour roster (3 days / 3 nights / 6 days off) and requires you to reside in Karratha or Dampier.

You will report to the Supervisor and support safe, efficient site operations. Responsibilities include operating trucks safely, supporting daily needs, and collaborating with the Dampier Salt team while adhering to Rio Tinto procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous site-based truck driving experience.
• Hold a valid HR drivers license.
• Experience operating site-based vehicles such as haul trucks, tippers, water carts, Moxy trucks, or similar equipment.
• Commitment to safety procedures and working rostered shifts.
• Current C Class manual driver's licence and relevant certificates.

• Operate and drive trucks safely throughout the site.
• Support daily operational requirements across the team.
• Assist the wider team when and where required.

Through Rio Tinto’s partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking experienced Truck Drivers to join the Dampier Salt Operations in Dampier.

This is an excellent opportunity for motivated operators with previous site-based truck driving experience. You'll become part of a supportive and collaborative team environment, working on one of Western Australia's most well-established operations.

Operating on a 3 Days / 3 Nights / 6 Days Off roster (12.5 hour shifts) you will play a key role in supporting the Dampier Salt team and ensuring safe and efficient site operations. Please note this is a residential position and applicants must reside in Karratha or Dampier.

Reporting to the Supervisor and working in a collaborative and exciting environment, you will:

• Operating and driving trucks safely throughout the site
• Supporting daily operational requirements across the team
• Assisting the wider team when and where required
• Work safely within Rio Tinto procedures

About You

• Previous site-based truck driving experience.
• Hold a valid HR drivers license.
• Experience operating site-based vehicles such as haul trucks, tippers, water carts, Moxy trucks, or similar equipment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous mining or heavy industry experience.
• Commitment to work the rostered shifts (12.5 hour shifts, Days and nights)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dedication to everyone's safety.
• Current C Class manual driver's licence.
• Relevant trade qualifications and certificates
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and other testing.
