Job summary

Torus Group is seeking an experienced Joiner to deliver high‑quality joinery work across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington. This mobile role requires flexibility to work at multiple sites, with duties spanning maintenance, repairs and installations.

You will supervise apprentices, plan workloads, liaise with customers and use IT systems for orders and documentation. A proactive, customer‑focused approach is essential, with a valid driving licence and CSCS card preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Joinery or a relevant craft discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong experience in joinery, building maintenance and construction activities.
• Good customer care skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all types of internal and external joinery work, including plastic and composite products, maintenance and remedial tasks.
• Plan and organise work efficiently, making best use of time, materials, transport and equipment.
• Operate within appointment systems, liaising with customers and colleagues for smooth delivery.
• Supervise apprentices and trainees as required.
• Carry out diagnostic and pre‑measuring work to scope tasks accurately.
• Use IT systems to receive instructions, complete work orders and order materials.
• Explain repair needs clearly to customers and arrange next steps.
• Complete documentation and contribute to competency development programs.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain stock, tools and equipment to standards.
• Manage materials to minimise waste and ensure proper specs.
• Collaborate with Schedulers, Planners and CLOs for coordinated service.
