Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Trained Engine Technician to diagnose and complete less complex engine repairs at customer sites in Queensland.

You will engage with customers professionally, perform preventative maintenance, and use specialized tools following Cummins procedures.

This role requires basic field service experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Basic level field service experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of engine products.
• Good communication and teamwork; ability to work autonomously in the field.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers professionally on site and identifies needs.
• Uses specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and complete less complex repairs.
• Performs preventative maintenance on engines and related components.
• Documents service activities in the system and completes required worksheets.
• Escalates complex issues to senior technicians as needed.
• Maintains service vehicle and tools, adheres to health, safety and environmental policies.
