Job summary

Our client in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne seeks a competent Concrete crushing and recycling Plant Operator to join the team. The role covers operation of plant machinery with a Monday–Friday morning shift and occasional overtime/weekend work.

Key duties include operating crushers, screens and conveyors, coordinating loaders and excavators, and ensuring routine checks and inspections are performed. Tickets for WA 500 Komatsu, Bobcat and Excavator are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in Recycling/Quarry/Mobile crushing environment.
• Strong knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors with fault-finding experience.
• Experience operating loaders, excavators and water carts with relevant tickets.
• Excellent communication and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the crusher, screens, conveyors and stockpile equipment.
• Coordinate loader and excavator operators to maintain feed to the crusher and stockpiles.
• Identify and sort incoming material (concrete, asphalt, brick) and manage contamination removal.
• Start up, shut down and carry out routine operational checks on plant and mobile equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-start and operational inspections of plant and conveyors.
• Front end loader WA 500 Komatsu (tickets essential).

About the role

Our client, based in the EASTERN, Suburbs, are industry leaders in the field of recycling products and currently require a competent Concrete crushing and recycling Plant Operator to join their team. The role will involve the operation of various Plant Machinery, this is a Monday to Friday morning shift position with occasional overtime/weekend work expected.

Duties

• Operate the crusher, screens, conveyors and associated feed and stockpile equipment, managing stockpiles,
• Coordinate loader and excavator operators to maintain consistent feed to the crusher and manage stockpiles.
• Identify and sort incoming material (concrete, asphalt, brick, steel reinforcement) and manage contamination removal.
• Start up, shut down, and carry out routine operational checks on plant and mobile equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-start and operational inspections of plant, conveyors, and mobile equipment.
• Front end loader WA 500 Komatsu (tickets essential)
• Bobcat, Excavator,(tickets essential)
• Previous experience working in recycling yard or sand / quarry experience advantageous
• Loading/unloading trucks and Trailor
• Available Immediately

Experience required:

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in a Recycling / Quarry / Mobile crushing environment
• Strong knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors and associated plant, with solid fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience
• Operating mobile plant, including loaders, excavators and water carts (relevant tickets required)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
