Job summary

DWS Group is seeking an experienced Mobile App Developer to join a high-profile digital delivery initiative. The role focuses on designing, building, and enhancing modern mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native.

You will contribute in an Agile team, collaborate with UI/UX designers, and integrate with backend services via REST APIs to deliver secure, high-performing user experiences across platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience developing mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Deep knowledge of React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building cross-platform mobile apps using React Native; Expo is a plus.
• Significant experience integrating mobile apps with backend services via REST APIs.
• Understanding of mobile architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborating with UI/UX designers to implement accessible interfaces.
• Knowledge of mobile security, authentication, and API integration patterns.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments with sprint planning.
• Ability to contribute to technical documentation and technical specs.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise or government environments is valued.

DWS is seeking an experienced Mobile App Developer to join a high-profile digital delivery initiative within a large, complex enterprise environment.

This role will focus on designing, building, and enhancing modern mobile applications that deliver intuitive, secure, and high-performing user experiences across iOS and Android platforms using React Native.

You will work as part of a collaborative Agile delivery team, contributing to solution design, development, integration, and continuous improvement of mobile applications that support critical customer-facing services.

Where: Sydney, NSW - Parramatta & Macquarie Park (working across both sites)
Type: Max Term OR ACN Contractor
Start: ASAP
Length: 8 months, until end of 2026
Style: Hybrid; 3+ days onsite
Salary: Up to $200K (inc super) Max Term, OR $900/day ACN

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
• Very strong knowledge of React Native and modern JavaScript / TypeScript frameworks
• Experience building cross-platform mobile applications using React Native; Expo experience is advantageous
• Significant experience integrating mobile applications with backend services using REST APIs and Swagger / OpenAPI
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, performance, and maintainability
• Experience working closely with UI/UX designers to implement accessible and intuitive user interfaces
• Solid understanding of mobile security, authentication, and API integration patterns
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Ability to contribute to technical documentation, solution design, and functional specifications
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise or government environments is highly regarded
