Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our AGO GEO SPACES program. You will deliver and sustain technology solutions in a secure, highly regulated environment, ensuring reliability, performance and resilience of mission‑critical platforms.

You will develop monitoring, automation and IaC practices while supporting Level 2/3 incident response. Ideal candidates bring Linux/UNIX expertise, scripting ability with Python/Go/Bash, and hands‑on experience with Terraform,

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux/UNIX administration in enterprise environments.
• Ability to develop automation using Python, Go or Bash to improve efficiency.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools like Terraform/Ansible/Puppet/Chef.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability practices to improve reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI or equivalent).
• Experience with virtualised and cloud environments (VMware, AWS, Azure or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 operational support for production systems.
• Lead incident response activities and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting and logging capabilities with service metrics and SLIs.
• Enhance automation, infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD practices across environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable reliable deployments and operational excellence.
