Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our AGO GEO SPACES program. In a secure, highly regulated environment, you’ll help ensure the reliability, performance and resilience of mission-critical platforms while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

You’ll apply automation, infrastructure as code and monitoring practices to complex production environments and contribute to incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar infrastructure-focused role.
• Experience in Linux/UNIX administration and enterprise support.
• Automation development using Python, Go or Bash.
• Infrastructure as Code and configuration management with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and observability practices to improve reliability.
• Experience with virtualised and cloud environments (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Ability to investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Support availability, capacity and reliability of complex production environments.
• Lead incident response activities and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting and logging capabilities with SLOs/SLIs.
• Enhance automation, IaC and CI/CD practices across the environment.
