The Salvation Army Queanbeyan Corps seeks a Ministry Assistant to support worship, discipleship, pastoral care and community engagement. This permanent, part-time role offers 3 days a week (22.8 hours) in Queanbeyan, NSW, reporting to the Mission Leader.

You will work with volunteers, run faith-based programs, and build relationships with schools and local groups while helping with administration and program delivery in a supportive church environment.

Formación

• Commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army.
• Ability to offer pastoral assistance and prayer.
• Understanding TSA Doctrines & Principles (desirable).
• Capacity to facilitate groups and one-to-one with focus on faith-based groups.
• Member/soldier of a local Salvation Army Corps.
• Current Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check.
• Valid nationally coordinated criminal history check.
• Driver's Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Support worship services, Bible studies and discipleship activities that strengthen faith and community connection.
• Coordinate and support volunteers, helping deliver impactful Corps and community programs.
• Provide pastoral care and assist with faith-based activities aligned to local mission priorities.
• Build positive relationships with community groups, schools, local organisations and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to community engagement and fundraising initiatives that support local mission outcomes.
• Assist with administration, program coordination and day-to-day operations to ensure effective service delivery.
