Placements24 is seeking a Mining Recruitment Specialist to join a hybrid team serving the Queenstown area and beyond. You will source and place professionals in the mining sector, from engineers to managers, balancing remote work and in-office collaboration.

You will understand mining industry challenges, deliver talent solutions, and build strong client relationships while navigating safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in recruitment, with mining/resources focus.
• Ability to source and attract talent for technical/mining roles.
• Knowledge of mining processes, equipment, and certs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle for mining/resource roles.
• Source candidates with exploration, extraction, processing experience.
• Assess candidates’ technical skills and operational experience.
• Build and maintain relationships with mining companies and stakeholders.
• Understand safety, regulatory, and operational mining requirements.
• Develop sourcing strategies for trades and professionals.
