Qualifications

• Mining Supervisor course (G189) is required.
• Generic Surface Induction completed.
• Knowledge of Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and regulations.
• Experience supervising staff in Open Cut mining.
• Operating skills on a wide range of mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct shift handovers, prestart, and toolbox meetings.
• Guide the team to execute the production plan safely.
• Provide technical guidance to improve team capabilities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors to implement maintenance plans.
• Generate accurate shift reports.
• Perform inspections and job observations.

Golding is seeking a self-motivated Mining Supervisor to join our cohesive overburden and coal mining team at Meandu Mine, near Kingaroy, Queensland.

This is a residential DIDO position working on a lifestyle roster (5/4 4/5 5/5) Day and Night rotating.

Key aspects of this role include:

• Conduct shift handovers, prestart, and toolbox meetings with efficiency
• Guide your team to execute the production plan safely and effectively
• Provide valuable technical guidance to your team members, sharing your expertise and boosting their capabilities
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors to implement maintenance plans for the shift.
• Generate accurate and timely shift reports
• Perform inspections and job observations as part of your responsibilities

• Working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations and how they pertain to individual and supervisor obligations
• Previous experience in the supervision of staff within an Open Cut mining environment
