Job summary

Thiess in North West Queensland is seeking a Construction Engineering Supervisor to provide onsite surveillance and management of subcontractors on the Eva Copper Mine Project. You will lead site health, safety and environment compliance, supervise multi-discipline teams, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with design drawings, specifications and schedules.

With a 2:1 roster, onsite camp accommodations, flights from major hubs, and opportunities for FIFO or DIDO,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, working with a tier 1 or 2 construction company.
• Comprehensive understanding of OHS legislation and regulations, including contractual, quality requirements, safety standards, and knowledge of industry construction processes and methodologies.
• Proven experience in successfully delivering multi discipline construction projects >$10M within the resources space.
• Demonstrated capabilities to effectively manage and coordinate multiple work crews, both internal and subcontractor, to achieve project aims.
• Demonstrated safety and environmental leadership behaviour and compliance.
• Demonstrated success in driving team and subcontractor performance.
• Possession of a White Card.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce site health, safety and environment compliance.
• Supervise subcontractors and suppliers across disciplines.
• Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to meet design specs and schedules.
• Prepare pre-starts and toolboxes.
• Provide daily progress reports and manage project risks.
• Assist with contract management and tendering.
