Job summary

Glencore’s McArthur River Mine in the Northern Territory is seeking a Planning Support Officer to provide work scoping and planning support for maintenance across the processing plant. You will report to the Senior Reliability Engineer and help with work orders, parts, and continuous improvements.

The role requires a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter trade qualification, and values a proactive, collaborative approach with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience maintaining processing plants, crushing facilities or similar environments.
• Experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
• Trade qualification as Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter.
• Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets desirable but not essential.
• A proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
• A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Commitment to McArthur River Mine and the Glencore team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the work scoping and planning of maintenance activities across the processing plant.
• Support Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors with detailed scoping of work requests.
• Assist with ordering and confirming required parts for maintenance tasks.
• Support planners with the creation and approval of work orders.
• Identify and report opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Participate in training and development aligned with Glencore’s core values.
• Comply with environmental guidelines and procedures to support sustainable operations.
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and promote a safety-first culture.
