Job summary

Glencore’s McArthur River Mine seeks a Leading Hand Mill Maintenance to oversee maintenance in the mill and crusher areas. You will lead a team to minimise downtime and ensure safe, compliant operations.

In this role you will coordinate preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and input into planning for short- and long-term capital and repairs. A strong safety mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a mining or heavy industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of processing equipment and systems.
• Ability to lead and coordinate maintenance teams.
• Commitment to safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of maintenance personnel in safe operation of the processing plant.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Input into weekly and long-term planning, equipment overhauls and repairs.
• Monitor equipment condition to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
• Record maintenance activities, work orders and completed tasks.
• Ensure all procedures and processes are followed safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet production and maintenance schedules.
• Promote a safety-first culture and report hazards or risks to management.
• Assist in development and training of team members.
