Job summary

Glencore’s McArthur River Mine in the Northern Territory is seeking a Leading Hand Mill Maintenance to lead the maintenance team in the processing plant and crusher areas, ensuring safe, reliable operation and minimal downtime.

You will coordinate day-to-day activities, drive preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and work with other departments to meet production schedules while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of processing equipment.
• Excellent leadership and team coordination.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to standards.
• Good communication with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a maintenance team for safe operation of the processing plant.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with procedures, safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate day-to-day maintenance including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Contribute to weekly and longer-term planning, including equipment overhauls and repairs.
• Monitor equipment condition for performance and reliability.
• Document maintenance work orders and completed tasks.
• Ensure procedures and processes are followed safely.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet production and maintenance schedules.
• Promote a safety-first culture and report hazards.
• Assist in developing and training team members.
