Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for a mining site role on a permanent 14 on/14 off schedule. You will plan maintenance, create parts lists, allocate resources, and manage work orders to keep equipment reliable.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade, prior team supervision experience, and a strong commitment to health and safety. SAP knowledge is advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or related discipline.
• Minimum two years’ experience supervising a team in providing technical solutions.
• Dedicated commitment to health and safety.
• High level of initiative, reliability and ability to work independently.
• A customer driven focus and demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships.
• A commitment to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, documentation and time management skills.
• A strong adherence to quality control.
• Knowledge of SAP will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Plan scheduled maintenance on all machines and equipment assigned to the role
• Be responsible for the creation of all parts lists and resource allocation and complete work orders
• Review the defect list and planning the repairs of these defects at the optimal time
• Manage and track all planning requirements for service letters, defect sheets, SOS actions, parts and resource requirements
• Process control management and site based development of processes; work order process, warranty handling process, warranty parts return and control
• Maintain up to date and accurate bills of material associated to planned events
