Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join their Mobile Maintenance team in Mount Isa. You will coordinate workshop parts and consumables, support planning activities and ensure efficient workshop operations.

Applicants should have maintenance support or stores experience in mining, exposure to mobile equipment, and be willing to relocate to Mount Isa. SAP CMMS and MS Office skills are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance support, workshop administration, stores or parts coordination in mining or heavy industry.
• Exposure to mobile mining equipment or heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Willing to relocate to Mount Isa.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience using SAP CMMS is highly regarded.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
• Current manual driver's licence.
• Current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the dispatch and receipt of maintenance parts to support workshop rebuild and maintenance activities.
• Working closely with maintenance planners, supervisors and warehouse personnel to ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Monitoring parts availability and proactively communicating any supply risks or delays.
• Ordering parts, tracking deliveries and following up outstanding purchase requests.
• Receiving, inspecting and organizing incoming parts within designated staging areas.
• Coordinating the collection and delivery of parts and components across the operation.
• Maintaining workshop consumable stock levels.
• Managing excess inventory registers and identifying opportunities to reduce surplus stock.
• Processing catalogue additions and maintaining accurate parts information within SAP.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workshop efficiency and reduce waste.
• Completing general administrative tasks and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Promoting a safe, collaborative and customer-focused working environment in line with Glencore's values.
