Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines in Mount Isa, QLD, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join their Mobile Maintenance team, coordinating workshop parts and consumables and supporting planning activities.

You will work with planners, supervisors and warehouse personnel to ensure parts availability, manage SAP catalogues, and promote safe, efficient workshop operations on a 7 days on / 7 days off day shift roster.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance support, workshop administration or stores in mining.
• Willing to relocate to Mount Isa.
• Experience with SAP or CMMS.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Current manual driving licence and fork lift licence or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the dispatch and receipt of maintenance parts for workshop rebuilds and maintenance activities.
• Work closely with planners, supervisors and warehouse personnel to ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Monitor parts availability and communicate supply risks or delays.
• Order parts, track deliveries and follow up outstanding purchase requests.
• Receive, inspect and organise incoming parts within staging areas.
• Coordinate collection and delivery of parts across the operation.
• Maintain workshop consumable stock levels and manage surplus stock.
• Process catalogue additions and maintain parts information in SAP.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency.

Our client, Glencore Mount Isa Mines, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join their Mobile Maintenance team, supporting the ISF & Rebuild Workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of Australia's leading mining operations, playing a vital role in ensuring maintenance activities are supported through the efficient coordination and management of parts and materials.

Working closely with planners, supervisors, leading hands and tradespeople, you'll help keep maintenance schedules on track by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, while maintaining strong communication across the maintenance and supply teams.

Your responsibilities

• Managing excess inventory registers and identifying opportunities to reduce surplus stock.

• Completing general administrative tasks and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

About You

• Previous experience in a maintenance support, workshop administration, stores or parts coordination role within mining or heavy industry.
• Willing to relocate to Mount Isa
• Exposure to mobile mining equipment, heavy earthmoving equipment or heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to work both independently and within a collaborative maintenance team.
• Experience using SAP or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is highly regarded.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• A current manual driver's licence.
• A current forklift licence, or the willingness to obtain one.
