Job summary

Glencore Mount Isa Mines in Mount Isa, QLD is seeking a Maintenance Officer to coordinate workshop parts and consumables within the Mobile Maintenance team. You will support maintenance planning and ensure workshop operations run efficiently.

The role involves SAP/CMMS usage, inventory control, and collaboration with planners, supervisors and warehouse staff. A current manual licence and forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) are preferred, with on-site 7 days on/7 days off roster.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance support, workshop administration, stores or parts coordination role within mining or heavy industry.
• Exposure to mobile mining equipment, heavy earthmoving equipment or heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Willing to relocate to Mount Isa
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to work both independently and within a collaborative maintenance team.
• Experience using SAP or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is highly regarded.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• A current manual driver's licence.
• A current forklift licence, or the willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the dispatch and receipt of maintenance parts to support workshop rebuild and maintenance activities.
• Working closely with maintenance planners, supervisors and warehouse personnel to ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Monitoring parts availability and proactively communicating any supply risks or delays.
• Ordering parts, tracking deliveries and following up outstanding purchase requests.
• Receiving, inspecting and organizing incoming parts within designated staging areas.
• Coordinating the collection and delivery of parts and components across the operation.
• Maintaining workshop consumable stock levels.
• Managing excess inventory registers and identifying opportunities to reduce surplus stock.
• Processing catalogue additions and maintaining accurate parts information within SAP.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workshop efficiency and reduce waste.
• Completing general administrative tasks and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Promoting a safe, collaborative and customer-focused working environment in line with Glencore's values.
