Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to join our on-site field service team in the Gunnedah Basin region, where over 170 Cummins High Horsepower engines power mining equipment.

This 7/7 roster role offers either localTamworth placement or viable Drive In/Drive Out arrangements with meals and accommodation provided. You will perform breakdown and preventative tasks, handle diverse engine repairs, and work both autonomously and in a team.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification (Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel, Plant, or Light Vehicle also considered).
• A valid driver’s license.
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, engines and similar applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks.
• Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor.
• Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment.
• Work with other major OEMs – Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr.

Skills

Valid driver's license

Diesel engine service experience

Education

Trade qualification (Heavy Diesel / Heavy Commercial Vehicle)
