Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to join our on-site team in the Gunnedah Basin. You will perform breakdowns and scheduled maintenance on heavy diesel engines across mining equipment, working both independently and with a strong team.

Drive in/Drive out options and a 7/7 roster support a flexible shift pattern in Tamworth region. The role requires a relevant trade qualification and a current driver’s license, with priority given to diesel mechanics experienced with heavy

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification (Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel, Plant, or Light Vehicle also considered)
• A valid driver’s license
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, engines and similar applications is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks
• Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor
• Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment
• Work with other major OEM’s – Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr

We are looking for a talented Field Service Mechanic to join our high performing field service team. The Gunnedah Basin mining region is home to over 170 Cummins High Horsepower engines , powering a range of mining equipment.

This is a 7/7 Roster, for either someone local to Tamworth, or a Drive in, drive out opportunity can be available.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Perform breakdown and preventative tasks

• Diverse range engine repairs, both major and minor
