Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a Facilities Attendant for our Mount Isa operations. The role reports to the Services Superintendent and follows a 7 day on, 7 day off roster from 5am to 5pm.

The successful candidate will ensure clean, safe facilities and support PPE laundry services. Responsibilities include laundering up to 4,500 PPE items per shift, operating laundry equipment, and maintaining high housekeeping standards while supporting mobile equipment activities where required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or facilities services is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with industrial equipment or mining environments is advantageous.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean facilities, equipment and work areas to high housekeeping standards.
• Collect, launder and return up to 4,500 PPE items per shift.
• Safely operate washing machines, dryers and laundry equipment.
• Collaborate with Facilities Services to meet daily targets.
• Spot and, where licensed, operate mobile equipment safely.
• Perform physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting up to 30kg).
• Identify and report equipment or maintenance issues to the Facilities Supervisor.
• Complete duties safely, efficiently and on time with a focus on safety.
