Job summary

Glencore's Hail Creek Open Cut Mine is seeking a Short Term (Truck and Shovel) Mining Engineer to deliver mine plans, designs and schedules that support long-term objectives.

You will plan across an entire pit, develop production schedules, dig and dump designs, infrastructure layouts, and rehabilitation and reshape plans, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe execution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining/Civil or related field).
• Proficiency in Mine Design and Scheduling packages (such as Vulcan, Deswik, Spry or similar).
• Minimum of two years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mine plans, designs and schedules that support the operation's long-term objectives.
• Plan across an entire pit, developing production schedules, dig and dump designs, infrastructure layouts, and rehabilitation/reshape plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery of mine plans.
