Job summary

NRW Civil & Mining is seeking a Mining Engineer to join the Karara Iron Ore Mine team. This permanent full-time role operates on a 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, WA, with on-site responsibilities at Karara. You will deliver safe, optimised mine plans and collaborate with operations to hit production targets.

Applicants should have a Mining Engineering degree, 2+ years of mining experience, and experience with planning tools like Surpac or Deswik.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent recognised in Australia.
• Minimum two years' operational mining experience.
• Experience in mine planning, scheduling and production support.
• Exposure to drill and blast and load and haul operations.
• Experience across hard-rock, coal or underground operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Experience with Surpac or Deswik highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and optimised short-term mine plans and schedules.
• Partner with operational teams to achieve production targets.
• Support drill and blast and load and haul activities.
• Monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting and cost control.
• Provide practical technical support across the operation.
