Job summary

Genesis Minerals is seeking a Mining Engineer – Open Pit to join the Technical Services Team in Leonora, WA. You will contribute to safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining through drill and blast design, short-term planning, and coordination with production, geology, and survey teams.

The role supports Tower Hill operations with a focus on open pit optimization, dig design, and extraction planning while maintaining a strong safety culture and meeting production targets in a dynamic FIFO/DIDO

Qualifications

• Operational site-based mining experience (ideally Gold)
• Open Pit mine planning experience
• Technical expertise in Open Pit mine design, drill and blast, optimisation and planning

Responsibilities

• Prepare drill and blast pattern designs, tie-ins.
• Review drill and blast results, and provide reconciliation and improvement recommendations.
• Undertake short-term mine planning and support plan execution.
• Design short-term mine infrastructure, including dumps, haul roads and access ramps.
• Prepare dig plans, face maps, and operator instructions to support selective mining.
• Upload and manage dig designs and surfaces on machines.
• Liaise with production, geology, and survey departments to ensure efficient execution of production plans.
