Job summary

NRW Civil & Mining is seeking a Mining Engineer to join the Karara Iron Ore Mine team. This permanent full-time role operates on a 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, WA, with on-site responsibilities at Karara. You will deliver safe, optimised mine plans and collaborate with operations to hit production targets.

Applicants should have a Mining Engineering degree, 2+ years of mining experience, and experience with planning tools like Surpac or Deswik.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent recognised in Australia.
• Minimum two years' operational mining experience.
• Experience in mine planning, scheduling and production support.
• Exposure to drill and blast and load and haul operations.
• Experience across hard-rock, coal or underground operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Experience with Surpac or Deswik highly regarded.

Following NRW Civil & Mining's recent $960 million contract extension through to February 2032, we are seeking a Mining Engineer to join our established team at the Karara Iron Ore Mine.

Karara is a major open-pit magnetite operation in Western Australia's Mid West. With an approximately 45-minute flight from Perth, a family-friendly 8/6 roster and an established NRW project workforce of approximately 250 people, Karara offers the scale, stability and opportunity to take your career further.

We are looking for a practical, production-focused Mining Engineer who enjoys working closely with operational teams.

This position is FIFO from Perth. Applicants must currently reside in Perth or be prepared to relocate to Perth independently before commencing.
