Job summary

Evolution Mining Ltd. is seeking a Mining Engineer for Cowal Open Pit operations. You will translate mine plans into safe, efficient production; develop short-term plans and support drill and blast design; work with geology, surveying and geotechnical teams.

The role operates on an 8:6 roster with 12-hour shifts, offering work-life balance and exposure to growth projects as the mine expands. Based at Cowal Operations, reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in an open pit mining engineering role.
• Experience in mine planning and scheduling.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with Deswik or similar mine planning software such as Vulcan or Surpac.

• Influence site performance through effective stakeholder engagement.
• Support drill and blast design, scheduling and operational execution.
• Analyse production performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of mining projects from planning through to execution.

Play a key role in shaping the future of one of Australia's premier open pit mining operations.

As a Mining Engineer, you'll work at the centre of operational decision making, helping translate mine plans into outcomes that drive safe, efficient and reliable production. Experience within gold mining is welcomed, however engineers from other commodities are encouraged to apply where they have relevant open pit planning experience.
