Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited seeks a Principal Mining Engineer for the Isaac Plains Complex to lead mine design, scheduling and governance for short/medium-term activities. You will collaborate with site operations and corporate planning to improve technical systems and processes.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement and leadership development within a high-performance mining team in Moranbah, Queensland.

Qualifications

• Experience in large open pit mining with dragline exposure.

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mining or Civil or equivalent.
• Understanding value drivers in large open pit mining operations.

Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager at our Isaac Plains Complex, thePrincipal Mining Engineerwill play an integral role in the operations short to medium term success. The role is accountable for development, implementation and governance of mine design and short / medium term scheduling activities. As technical expert in designing and scheduling part of the role is to help improve technical systems and processes on site. The role will work closely with site operations, technical teams and also align with the long term planning at corporate office.

In this role you will:

• Develop and maintain site scheduling model for option analysis
• Identify and mitigate plan risks, minimising production disruption
• Work with the operations teams to ensure short term alignment to long term strategy
• Have the opportunity to grow professionally and step or across into leadership positions

If you have:

• Experience in working in large open pit mining operations including significant dragline experience
• A commitment to safety and continuous improvement, including process improvement
• A Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mining or Civil) or equivalent
• Understanding of value drivers in large open pit mining operations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders
