Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking an engaging Electrical Project Engineer to support a Tier 1 mining client across sustaining capital and non-process infrastructure projects. You will drive multidisciplinary scopes, coordinating civil, structural, mechanical, piping, instrumentation and commissioning, while providing visible field leadership and on-site safety oversight across Port, Rail and Mine locations.

This 12-month FIFO role from Perth offers 8 days on, 6 days off, an hourly rate of $110–$130

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Current unrestricted Australian C‑Class Driver's Licence.
• Proven track record as Electrical Project Engineer in mining or heavy industry.
• Deep understanding of LV/HV design, construction and commissioning.
• Experience managing projects from scoping to close-out.
• Strong contractor management and cost-tracking experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, drive and deliver electrical scopes including power distribution, switchboards, MCCs and cabling.
• Coordinate interfaces with contractors, consultants and vendors to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Provide on-site field leadership, safety risk assessments, permits, site inspections and execution.
• Prepare and review work packs, specifications, drawings, tenders and technical documentation.
• Oversee commissioning, energisation and final handover in line with standards and site requirements.
• Support project governance, procurement, cost control, variations and risk registers.
