Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a Mines Systems Technician for McArthur River Mine to support and service operational technology across multiple functions including communications, fleet management and water monitoring.

You will conduct fault finding, install systems, perform preventive maintenance and optimise VHF infrastructure to enhance safety, efficiency and productivity at the site.

Qualifications

• Must hold Certificate III in communications or related electrical discipline.
• Experience encouraged for comms techs or electrical techs; mining exp is a plus.
• Strong ability to scope, implement, and troubleshoot OT systems.
• Experience with ELV DC systems in automotive, solar, instrumentation is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault finding, diagnose and repair systems and equipment.
• Maintain communication networks across the mine site.
• Install and maintain fleet management technologies and instrumentation.
• Implement preventive measures and generate condition reports during routine maintenance.
• Install and maintain instrumentation such as flow meters, level transducers, and pressure sensors.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise VHF infrastructure.
