Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Mine Surveyor for a 7-month fixed-term role at the Huntly mine site in Western Australia. You will provide precise surveying services, manage spatial data, and support mine development, production, and environmental activities while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Mine Surveying and familiarity with GNSS, machine guidance systems and LiDAR to deliver accurate results. Safety and quality are essential across all tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mine Surveying preferred or equivalent.
• Experience surveying in mining, quarrying or civil fields preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, accuracy requirements and quality control.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work with survey data and technology.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality surveying services to support mine development and production.
• Maintain accurate spatial data to track mining progress and inform planning.
• Collaborate with production, planning, engineering and environmental teams.
• Utilise GNSS, machine guidance and LiDAR technologies.
• Ensure all survey activities meet safety, regulatory and company standards.
