Job summary

Glencore Australia’s Hunter Valley Operations is seeking a proactive Safety professional to lead and implement safety strategies across the site. You will collaborate with operational leaders to drive improvements, maintain the safety management system and deliver data-driven risk insights.

Based at the Lemington site, on a Monday-to-Friday roster, you will influence culture, provide technical risk guidance and coordinate the site assurance program to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Work, Health and Safety.
• Auditing qualification with demonstrated experience.
• Minimum 3 years working in a similar role.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Ability to influence and inspire others.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety strategies, systems and initiatives.
• Engage with operational leaders to drive safety improvement.
• Support site leadership to foster a positive safety culture.
• Utilise data analytics to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Develop and coordinate site assurance program.
• Maintain and improve the safety management system.
• Provide technical advice on risk management framework.
