Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for our Nyngan mine operation on an 8/6 roster. This FIFO role from Brisbane provides a site-based safety function focused on compliance and continuous safety improvements.

You will work with site leadership and operations to promote a proactive safety culture, provide practical guidance, investigate incidents and support risk management across the operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Safety Advisor or HSE role within mining, civil or heavy industry
• Sound understanding of NSW WHS legislation and risk management principles
• Strong incident investigation and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• ICAM (or equivalent investigation training) will be highly regarded
• Current First Aid qualifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with legislative and company requirements
• Provide practical safety advice and coach frontline leaders
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site and work with site leadership and operations teams
