MMG has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Mine Projects Coordinator to join our Mine Technical Services team at Rosebery Mine.
Rosebery is entering an exciting period of change, with major projects planned to increase production, extend mine life and improve our operations. From major underground infrastructure and rehabilitation through to ventilation, pumping, mine development and new access, there is a significant pipeline of work to be delivered.
Reporting to the Mine Technical Services Manager, you will take underground projects from concept and design through to procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. This is a hands-on role where you will solve engineering challenges, developing practical solutions, working with contractors and ultimately seeing your projects built and operating underground.
Working closely with Mine Technical Services, Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and contractors, you will help turn ideas and technical requirements into practical solutions that work in a complex underground environment.
This is an opportunity to tackle complex projects turning engineering designs into safe, practical solutions, that can be successfully delivered in an operating underground mine.
Projects may include raiseboring, major rehabilitation, mine development, ventilation, pumping, major services, underground infrastructure, and other underground infrastructure.
A relevant engineering, mining or project management qualification is desirable; however, significant practical underground mining and project delivery experience will also be considered.
Most importantly, you will enjoy solving complex problems, taking ownership and seeing projects from an idea to an operating asset.
