Job summary

Glencore's Clermont Open Cut is seeking an experienced Technical Services Superintendent (Mine Planning) to lead medium-term mine planning and optimise designs, schedules and resource use on site. You will collaborate with geology, geotechnical, operations and commercial teams to ensure integrated planning and informed decision-making.

You will lead and develop the mine planning team, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to a safe, high-performance operation in Queensland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Extensive Open Cut mining experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high performance outcomes safely
• A proven ability to lead and influence a team and make decisions based on technical expertise
• Experience with Deswik and Spry software packages will be highly regarded
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• QLD Drivers Licence

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of rolling medium-term mine plans aligned with business objectives and production targets.
• Optimise mine designs, schedules, and resource utilisation to maximise value, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with mine planning, geology, geotechnical, operations, and commercial teams to ensure integrated planning outcomes.
• Manage planning risks, monitor plan compliance, and provide forecast updates to support informed decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the mine planning team while driving continuous improvement and planning excellence.
