Job summary

AGL Energy is seeking a Mine Mechanical Fitter for Loy Yang Mine in Traralgon, VIC. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance of mine plant, fault analysis, and preventative work within a safety-focused team environment.

The position is full-time, 12-month fixed term, with shift work and CMMS reporting. You will collaborate with production to ensure reliable plant operation and comprehensive maintenance records.

Qualifications

• A Mechanical Fitting trade qualification or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability for heavy industry.
• Experience using computerised maintenance management systems.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and ability to work shift work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, breakdown, routine and preventative mechanical maintenance on mine plant and equipment.
• Analyse faults, assess plant problems and implement safe, effective solutions.
• Plan, schedule, complete and report maintenance activities in a dynamic production environment.
• Work with Production personnel to support safe, efficient plant operation.
• Record work, faults and shift information in the CMMS and logs.
• Share skills and support development of team members.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environment requirements and risk controls.
