Qualifications

  • Experience using computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and ability to work shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, breakdown, routine and preventative mechanical maintenance on mine plant and equipment.
  • Analyse faults, assess plant problems and implement safe, effective solutions.
  • Plan, schedule, complete and report maintenance activities in a dynamic production environment.
  • Work with Production personnel to support safe, efficient plant operation.
  • Record work, faults and shift information in the CMMS and logs.
  • Share skills and support development of team members.
  • Follow Health, Safety and Environment requirements and risk controls.

Electrify your future.**About the role** A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a **Mine Mechanical Fitter** to join our team at the **AGL Loy Yang Mine**. Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, you will carry out mechanical maintenance, fault analysis and preventative maintenance to support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of mine plant. Working in a shift environment, you will use your trade expertise to complete planned, breakdown and routine work while supporting production requirements. Please note, this is a 12-month Fixed Term opportunity. **What you'll be doing** * Carry out planned, breakdown, routine and preventative mechanical maintenance on mine plant and equipment.* Analyse faults, assess plant problems and implement safe and effective solutions.* Plan, schedule, complete and report maintenance activities in a dynamic production environment.* Work closely with Production personnel to support safe, efficient and effective plant operation.* Accurately record completed work, plant faults and shift information in the CMMS and shift logs.* Share your skills and experience, support the development of team members.* Follow all Health, Safety and Environment requirements, identify hazards and apply appropriate controls.**About You** You are a safety-focused mechanical tradesperson who enjoys solving problems and working as part of a team.
