Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced FMS Technology & Communications Technician for Lake Vermont Mine, Queensland. This role focuses on reliability and performance of fleet management systems, telecommunications infrastructure and autonomous networks to enable safe mining operations.

The position offers a permanent full-time contract with a 7/7 roster, 12.5-hour dayshift, and full camp facilities. Training, career development and salary sacrifice options are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' industry experience with fleet monitoring systems and telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of wireless communications, networking and autonomous technology systems.
• Current Standard 11 and Driver's Licence; coal mining certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, install and commission Wi‑Fi, radio and wireless communication systems.
• Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance of fleet monitoring systems and site telecommunications.
• Respond to breakdowns on FMS equipment, autonomous systems and communication networks.
