Join the Barminco team as a Mine Controller to support our underground mining operations across Australia, with opportunities available at sites throughout Western Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part in coordinating and monitoring underground mining activities from the control room to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. The role manages communications, tracks personnel and equipment, and responds to operational or emergency situations in real time.
Monitor underground operations using mine control and tracking systems to maintain situational awareness of personnel, equipment, and production activities.
Maintain constant communication with supervisors, operators, and emergency response teams.
Coordinate shift activities including production movements, equipment dispatch, and access to work areas.
Track and record personnel underground to ensure compliance with site safety and emergency management procedures.
Monitor critical systems such as ventilation, gas monitoring, communications, and refuge chamber status.
Escalate operational issues, incidents, or emergencies in accordance with site procedures.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift records for operational and safety compliance.
Previous experience working in a similar role within the mining industry
Strong computer literacy and experience with mine control or fleet management systems
