Job summary

MacKellar Group, in partnership with Middlemount Coal, seeks experienced Boilermakers to join our on-site maintenance team at Middlemount Mine. This permanent role features a 7/7 day/night roster to balance work and life and offers long-term stability.

We provide meals, camp accommodation and PPE, with a strong commitment to safety culture and high workmanship standards across a large fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment.

Qualifications

• Boilermaker trade certificate with post-trade experience on a mine site.
• Experience with heavy earth moving equipment (mobile plant).
• Current Standard 11 and CBM (or willingness to obtain).
• A current Queensland driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Be involved with all areas of design and fabrication for machine maintenance, including hazardous hot work, confined spaces and working at heights.
• Ensure planned repairs and maintenance are executed within time and cost requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work within teams to develop and implement solutions.
• Be committed to adhering and promoting a strong safety culture.
