Job summary

Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is seeking a Production Supervisor (Milk) to lead milk processing operations at the Sydney Processing Centre. You will ensure safe, compliant and efficient Pasteurised Donor Human Milk production, combining technical leadership with hands-on processing.

In this role you will oversee quality, drive continuous improvement, manage CAPAs with QA colleagues, and develop team capability while upholding safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced, regulated

About The Role

The Production Supervisor (Milk) is a key technical leader within Lifeblood's milk processing operations, responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient production of Pasteurised Donor Human Milk.

The role combines subject matter expertise, quality oversight, capability development, and hands-on processing activities, while supporting continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across milk processing facilities.

We're seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in food processing operations and a passion for quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Technical expertise in food processing operations, with the ability to act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on best practice processing techniques and equipment.
• Strong understanding of food safety requirements and regulatory compliance within an food production environment.
• Experience investigating process deviations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) in collaboration with quality teams.
• Leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop team capability, promote standard work, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities, enabling effective decision-making and process optimisation in a regulated environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across operations and other support functions.
• A hands-on approach, willing to actively participate in milk processing activities and support the safe, efficient, and timely production and distribution of Pasteurised Donor Human Milk (PDHM).
