Job summary

Newcastle Private Hospital in NSW seeks an experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME) to join our maternity team. The permanent role offers 0.6–1.0 FTE with relocation assistance for the right person, mentoring student, graduate and experienced midwives while driving education and evidence-based practice.

With over 1,700 births annually, we provide care across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery. If you enjoy teaching and inspiring others, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Minimum 4–5 years' post-registration midwifery experience.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or working towards.
• Current NSW Working With Children Check.

Are you passionate about developing the next generation of midwives?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME) to join our close knit maternity team.
This permanent role offers flexibility from either a 0.6 to 1.0 FTE and the opportunity to mentor student, graduate and experienced midwives while driving excellence in education and evidence-based practice.

With over 1,700 births each year, Newcastle Private is the largest private maternity service north of Sydney, providing care across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery.

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2026, a salary ranging from $66 - $79 per hour.
