Job summary

Newcastle Private Hospital is recruiting registered midwives for Birthsuite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery areas in Newcastle. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate, with flexible full-time, part-time or casual opportunities to suit your life balance.

You will work alongside senior midwives, obstetricians and lactation consultants to deliver exceptional care to women and families, with ongoing professional development and a renovated Special Care Nursery

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Recent experience in a similar midwifery role.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to women and families in maternity services.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, educators and lactation consultants.
• Contribute to a supportive and close-knit maternity team.

Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2026, a salary ranging from $40 - $56 per hour.
